BIOGRAPHY

Matteo Calosci, heir to the prestigious school of Maestro Zakhar Bron, performs in numerous concerts in Italy and abroad, as a soloist with orchestra, in a violin and piano duo and in chamber music ensembles, playing in prestigious halls and for renowned Musical institutions including Sala Verdi Milan, Auditorio Nacional Madrid, Palazzo del Quirinale Rome, Teatro San Babila Milan, Museo del 900 Milan, Teatro Sperimentale Ancona, Teatro Elfo Puccini Milan, Auditorium Palazzina Liberty Milan, Teatro Goldoni Florence, Festival dei due Mondi Spoleto , Teatro della Regina Cattolica, Sala Puccini Conservatory Milan, Italian Cultural Institute WolsfBurg, Auditorium Pedrotti Pesaro, Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini Jesi; he performs as a soloist with renowned orchestras including Orchestra Milano Classica, Orchestra Filarmonia Madrid, Haydn Chamber Orchestra Milan, Symphony Orchestra Conservatorio Rossini Pesaro, Chamber Orchestra of San Marino, Orchestra Solisti Accademici Rimini, interpreting concerts by Sibelius, Prokofiev, Bach, Vivaldi and virtuosic pieces by Sarasate and Paganini. 
 

Graduated in violin with top marks and honors at the Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, he continued his studies obtaining a Level II academic diploma at the Rimini Institute. He graduated in Chamber Music at the Verdi Conservatory in Milan and in viola at the Rossini Conservatories in Pesaro and Maderna Conservatories in Cesena. He continued his studies at the Hochschule fur Musik in Mannheim, Accdemia Stauffer in Cremona, Accademia della Scala in Milan. 

Extremely active as a chamber musician, in 2018 he founded the "Sergej Piano Trio" together with the pianist Leonora Armellini and the cellist Ludovico Armellini, with whom he graduated with top marks in the chamber music class of the Accademia Nazionale Santa Cecilia in Rome.

Heir to the famous Russian school, he studied and perfected his skills with Maestro Zakhar Bron at prestigious institutions such as Mozarteum Summer Academy in Salzburg, Zakhar Bron Foundation in Zurich, Wagner Conservatorium Vienna, Rencontres Musicales Internationales d'Enghien, Laus Academy Dubrovnik, Interlaken Classics Festival, Garda Lake Music Master, Music Festival Oettingen, IMCC Pro Bono Musicae in Krakow. 

Among his mentors: Leonardo Deluigi, Dora Bratchkova, Salvatore Accardo,  Pavel Vernikov, Ilya Grubert, Marco Rizzi, Cristiano Rossi, Maurizio Sciarretta, Alessandro Tampieri, Carlo Fabiano, Dora Schwarzberg, Eugeny Durnovo, Yuri Volguin, Quartetto di Cremona, Antonello Farulli, Johannes Meissl, Luc-Marie Aguera, Hariolf  Schlichtig, Francesco Manara, Roberto Ranfaldi.

Since 2012, chosen by Maestro Zakhar Bron, he has joined the prestigious ensemble of soloists "Zakhar Bron Chamber" with which he performs in important concert halls including, Berliner Philarmonie, Tonhalle Zurich, Casino Kursaal Interlaken, Schumann Saal Dusseldorf .

From a young age he won national and international competitions and prizes, obtaining a Mention of Merit in the international contemporary music interpretation competition dedicated to F. Mencherini (2007), a prize justified by the jury "...despite his very young age (17 years) he offered a remarkable expressive quality, performing from memory, unique among the candidates...”; Damiani scholarship offered by the G. Carissimi Association of Rome (2008), Rossini Foundation scholarship (2010), Accademia della Scala scholarship, Milan (2014-2016).

MASTERCLASS

Matteo Calosci is a full professor of violin at the F. Cilea Conservatory in Reggio Calabria. Since 2016 he has passionately dedicated himself to teaching at the annual specialization courses organized by the Young Art Promotion Association in Padua
